If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working while wearing a plate carrier/chest rig along with a backpack you know how easily the weight can bear down on your shoulders and back. With the introduction of the Strap Retention Device (SRD) the operator can now help redirect the weight that leads to numbness and tingling from heavy loads.

The SRD is designed to hook into the MOLLE webbing on your plate carrier or chest rig removing the need for a chest strap for your backpack. The SRD reduces felt load by 20% by holding the backpack strap in line with the operator’s shoulders. When no in use, the operator can easily fold the tabs away.

Strap retention device is such a great idea

Initially I was a little worried as my molle isnt too high on my chest with my vest but it actually sits perfect The only real issue Ive found which isnt really an issue for most but it pulls my vest closer to my chest which makes my overall vest hotter But I have the tacvent which creates a gap there for air flow Other than that issue its great I typically carry about 3340 lbs in my pack and it definitely has a noticeable reduction in the weight distribution across my shoulders and back Ive also used it when I sling my rifle or shotgun on my shoulder which is great as well Doesnt slide off my shoulder as easily
