Your tactical gear can make a huge difference in your effectiveness and safety when in the field. Many overlook the importance of the tactical belt, and some mistake its capabilities for being “just” a belt.
A tactical belt is a critical element in the duty kit of a law enforcement officer or military personnel.
Key Features of Tactical Belts for Law Enforcement and Military Use
Our tactical belts are expertly designed to meet the day-to-day demands of law enforcement and military professionals. All belts at Wilder Tactical have been put through rigorous tests in the field by professionals just like you who depend on the effectiveness of their belts.
Durability and Reliability
We put our belts to the test to be sure they can withstand the elements in challenging environments.
Our belts are made from Type 13 Nylon webbing, a high-quality material known for its strength and used in military applications. This material is weighted to 7,000 pounds, which obviously far exceeds what you would ever carry on your waist.
One of the things our customers value most is the ability to customize their belts as they see fit. While we sell belt kits that showcase our most popular set-ups, we also offer the belts, belt pads, and pouches individually.
This allows you to get exactly what you need for your law enforcement or military duties. We also offer multiple hook and attachment types.
In addition to the 7,000-pound rating of the material used in our tactical belts, they also offer load balancing. Tactical belts are a favorite of those in the field because they enable you to balance the weight of your equipment in a way that is comfortable for you.
Whether it's a sidearm, handcuffs, spare magazines, radios, or med kits, a well-designed tactical belt ensures that the load is evenly distributed, preventing fatigue and discomfort during a long shift.
Common Accessories and Attachments
We have designed our accessories with the knowledge that split-second access to your equipment is crucial.
We offer magazine pouches (both rifle and pistol), medical pouches and kits, handcuff pouches, radio pouches, dump pouches, and more. If you need it within easy reach on your tactical belt, we carry it.
Sizing and Adjustability
To make your duty belt-wearing experience a comfortable one, appropriate sizing is imperative. One of the most common mistakes we see in ordering a new belt is choosing the wrong size.
It is important to keep in mind that your belt will be going over your pants and a tucked-in shirt, etc. We recommend ordering a belt that is 1-2” larger than your normal pants size. If you are between sizes or at the very end of the upper range, it is best to size up.
Maintenance and Care
As with the other equipment in your kit, it is important to properly care for your tactical belt to ensure its reliability and extend the life of your belt.
Set up a regular inspection of your belt to look for any wear and tear, though we expect this won’t be an issue due to the durability of the materials we use.
For cleaning, we recommend soap and water. If it’s really dirty, you can add a soft scrub brush.
Don’t Overlook Your Tactical Belt
Tactical belts are often overlooked and underestimated in the daily lives of law enforcement officers or military personnel.
A well-designed tactical belt, along with the right accessories, can make an enormous impact on your effectiveness and readiness, no matter what the situation may be.
